This site is run by CleanVINUSA (based in Poland). It collects as little as it can.
The VIN you check
When you use the checker, the VIN is sent to CleanVINUSA’s scanner to find the pages that show it; the scanner processes it under CleanVINUSA’s privacy policy. On this site the scan result is kept for up to 24 hours so that checking the same VIN twice does not scan the internet twice. In our logs the VIN is stored only as a one-way hash, which cannot be turned back into the VIN.
Your connection
Your IP address is used, in memory only, to stop one connection from running hundreds of checks. It is not written to our logs. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data to protect and deliver it.
No tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising or analytics trackers. We count button clicks per day — how many, never who.
Orders
If you order a removal, you are taken to cleanvinusa.com. The order, your contact details and the payment are handled there under CleanVINUSA’s privacy policy.
